Get the extension Developer preview

The extension is in early release while we finish polishing it for the Chrome Web Store. For now you can install it manually in about a minute — it works in Chrome, Edge, and Brave.

Install it (1 minute)

Unzip the download — you’ll get a squirreld-extension folder.
Open chrome://extensions (or edge://extensions / brave://extensions).
Turn on Developer mode (top-right toggle).
Click Load unpacked and choose the squirreld-extension folder.
Pin the 🐿️ icon from the puzzle-piece menu, and you’re set.

What it does

Save recipes — on a recipe page, click the 🐿️ icon and Squirreld opens with the recipe prefilled.
Save links — stash any page (or right-click a link → “Save link to Squirreld”) into your Links.
Bank nudge — land on a bank or brokerage site and a gentle card offers to add it to your Finance vault.

About your security

The extension is a “capture and hand-off” button — it never holds your password, a token, or any secret. When you save something, it opens a Squirreld tab where you’re already signed in and prefills the add form; the actual save happens in the web app under your own session. Account numbers and passwords still live encrypted with AWS KMS, exactly as before.
